In 1979, our founder Nick Paunovich created The Original Diamond Cut Lenses™, hand-faceted lens edges that catch the light like a cut gemstone. Two generations later, the same family still customizes every pair at Tower. Choose your frame, then make it yours with custom lens shapes, gradient tints, faceted edges, and details you will not find at any other optical store in the country.

The Original Diamond Cut Lenses™
A diamond cut lens is exactly what it sounds like. The edge of the lens is carved into facets, one cut at a time, so it catches the light the way a gemstone does. Nick invented the technique in 1979, and it has been imitated ever since. The original is still made here.
Every pair starts with your prescription or your favorite tint. From there, the choices are yours: the shape of the lens, the gradient of the tint, the pattern of the facets, even a custom engraving. If you can describe it, we can cut it.

Diamante is our own house line, designed at Tower and made to be the statement. Exotic woods, jeweled temples, precious stone editions, and true one-of-one builds cut for a single client.

How it works
From first look to final fit
Every custom pair follows the same unhurried process, guided by the family that has done this for three generations.

The consultation
Sit down with us. We look at your face shape, your style, and how you live in your glasses, then pull the frames worth considering.

The design
Pick the frame, then the details. Lens shape, gradient tint, facet pattern, engraving. We settle every choice together before anything is cut.

The cut
Your lenses are cut to your prescription, tinted, and hand-finished with the diamond cut edge we invented in 1979.

The fit
You come in, we fine-tune the fit until the pair feels like it was always yours. Stop by anytime after and we will keep it that way.
